Pengertian ADHD
Suatu kondisi mental yang ditandai dengan perilaku impulsif dan hiperaktif dikenal secara medis sebagai ADHD, juga dikenal sebagai Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Ketika seorang anak menderita ADHD, mungkin sulit bagi mereka untuk berkonsentrasi pada satu hal pada satu waktu. Meski penyakit ini memang menyerang anak muda, gejalanya bisa bertahan hingga pubertas atau bahkan dewasa.
Ada 3 subtipe ADHD, termasuk:
1. Dominan hiperaktif-impulsif
Seseorang yang mengalami ADHD pada tipe ini biasanya memiliki masalah hiperaktivitas yang muncul bersamaan dengan perilaku yang bersifat impulsif.
2. Dominan Inatentif

3. Kombinasi Hiperaktif-impulsif dan inatentif
Tipe ketiga ini merupakan kombinasi dari semua gejala. Pada tipe ini, anak menunjukkan ciri hiperaktif, impulsif, dan tidak dapat memperhatikan dengan baik.
Gejala ADHD
American Psychiatric Association menyebutkan gejala dari kondisi ini adalah:
1. Kurang perhatian (tidak bisa tetap fokus).
2. Hiperaktif (terlalu banyak bergerak hingga tidak bisa diam).
3. Impulsif (tindakan tergesa-gesa yang terjadi tanpa perencanaan).
Banyak gejala anak hiperaktif, seperti aktivitas tinggi, kesulitan untuk diam dalam waktu lama, dan rentang perhatian yang terbatas, umum terjadi pada anak kecil.
Perbedaan antara anak hiperaktif dengan anak lainnya adalah tingkat hiperaktif dan kurangnya perhatian mereka lebih tinggi dari kebanyakan anak. itu juga dapat menyebabkan masalah atau masalah di rumah, di sekolah, atau di lingkungan pertemanan.

Pengobatan ADHD

5. Pelatihan interaksi sosial. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk mendidik pasien tentang perilaku sosial yang benar.

Many of the symptoms of a hyperactive child, such as high activity, difficulty remaining still for long periods of time, and a limited attention span, are common in young children.
The difference between hyperactive children and other children is that their level of hyperactivity and lack of attention is higher than most children. it can also cause trouble or trouble at home, at school, or in friendship circles.
ADHD’s precise origin has not yet been determined with certainty. However, this illness may develop as a result of a chemical imbalance (neurotreminer imbalance) in the brain.
Causes of ADHD
However, scientists believe that the following factors may contribute to ADHD:
1. Genetics There is a familial tendency for ADHD. It has frequently been proposed that a person’s parent’s genes play a significant role in the development of ADHD.
2. The brain’s structure and operations According to the National Health Service UK, studies have found many potential abnormalities between the brains of those with ADHD and those without the disorder. Brain scans were used in the study, and the results suggested that some brain regions might be smaller as a result.
3. Prenatal exposure to neurotoxins Many scientists also think that certain neurotoxic substances, like lead and other pesticides, may be linked to ADHD. The degree of schooling that children attain can be impacted by lead exposure. This has to do with impulsivity, hyperactivity, and inattention.
4. Using tobacco and alcohol when pregnant According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US, smoking during pregnancy also affects how children with ADHD behave. ADHD is also more prevalent in children who were exposed to drugs and alcohol while still developing.
ADHD Treatment
There is no known cure for ADHD. To assist patients cope with their condition and improve their quality of life, treatment must start right away.
Some treatments for ADHD include:
1. Drugs are frequently used to treat ADHD. These medications are used to assist patients calm down and control their impulsivity so they can concentrate.
2. CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). When patients experience challenges in their life, this therapy is used to support them in altering their perspective and behavior.
3. Psychotherapy. With the help of this therapy, people with ADHD should be able to find ways to deal with their condition’s symptoms.
4. Neurofeedback therapy. This therapy aims to improve intelligence or memory and is known by another name, EEG biofeedback. This therapy is done to help the brain train nerve pathways so that various brain regions can function properly.
5. Training in social interaction. The purpose of this training is to educate patients on proper social behavior.
